fandom
Okay, so I'm not one to be obsessed with celebrities, it's not really my thing.
I wouldn't stand in line for hours, screaming at the top of my lungs to see some multi-millionaire for all of 2.6 seconds as he goes into a movie screening, or backstage for his concert, etc.
And frankly, when I see all those websites dedicated to actors or singers or whatever, I kind a get a "stalker" vibe from it...
But, I've realized I've been gradually becoming...enamored (is that the right word? whatever) with these two actors...
I guess I'm starting to become unhealthily fan-ish.....

first up,
Zachary Levi
from Chuck and Tangled. I mean, come on. He's awesome.
and...

James Marsden
from X-men, Enchanted, etc. Hello?! That picture on the right is adorable!
So, apparently I like guys with good looks, dark hair, a sense of humor, and a little geek-iness....
Wow...I feel like such a stereotypical teenage girl right now....
I'm embarrassed for myself now. Sorry you had to see that.
But you guys won't tell anyone....
Right?

what if we just let the music flow?
Okay....drumline.
Everything awesome and fun and hectic about my life was summed up in that word.
Sometimes used as an expletive, like when it causes me to never turn in homework, or miss going to see The Phantom of the Opera play....
but it still is was one of the best things in my life.
This past weekend I had to say goodbye to-
being able to play amazing music on an instrument I love
staying up late, because I know I can sleep it off on the bus to competitions
hyperness. a lot of it.
friends I won't see anymore because drumline's over
being obnoxious, ridiculous, and immature, but also sometimes more grown-up than I want to be
and so many other things I'll miss.
But this weekend was awesome. It was Championships, and even though we didn't medal, it was still our best performance.
The ride home was crazy. Half the bus was sleeping and the other half seemed like they were on something....
Awkwardly hilarious conversations, Monster-fueled dance party with Rachel, and hugs. Lots of hugs.
You guys are my favorite people in the world.

children are savages
I really need to stop hanging out with kindergarteners. They are nothing but trouble.
Last night was wednesday (obviously), which means that it was again time for our weekly "throw a bunch of kids (who parents obviously don't know how to discipline them) into a gym and let them wear themselves out" routine.
As soon as I walked into the building, I knew trouble was afoot.
The age group I work with is kindergarten through second grade, and we use two classrooms right across the hall from each other. When I came down the hall, the evil redhead kid was running between the rooms, slamming the doors and making those indian noises we all made on the playground when we were kids.
The redhead's second-in-command (a blonde who will probably need braces when he gets older) was encouraging an innocent bystander to help him pin one of the other leaders to the wall. This other leader (who name will henceforth be "C") is also a teenage helper who, like me, volunteered for the job, not knowing this was the kind of treatment he would be getting.
C and I spent the next ten minutes trying to get the right kids into the right classrooms, and keep them there. When the adult leaders eventually showed up, me and C were both in our respective rooms repeatedly yelling at the kids to sit down while trying to block the doors.
It was all very ridiculous.
Game time was a nightmare. It was like unleashing the very hounds of hell in that gymnasium.
There were wrestling matches, hide and seek, races, screaming, disturbing attempts at gymnastics, and lots of other crap (you can use your imagination), all within seconds of coming through the doors.
It was getting really "Lord of the Flies" in there.
Eventually we were able to calm them down and proceed with our planned activities, but it was really freaky to see how quickly kids can completely lose their minds.
Those parents should know better than to give coffee to children before sending them to a church activity. Tsk tsk.

because I'm sure you care about this.
this is going to be a long two days.
tomorrow I'm missing school for band festival...*ahem* excuse me, now it's called "assessment". apparently "festival" sounds too fun. whatever.
and I'm spending most of my Friday at the scholarship competition for my future college.
and I have to dress up. yippee.
what exactly is "business casual", anyway?
I'm hopefully getting a job soon, my first choice is at the new froyo place they're opening nearby, because who doesn't want to spend their whole day surrounded by amazing frozen yogurt and brightly painted walls?
and.... *drumroll* I'm getting my license, finally.
well, in a month and a half. but I'm getting there! :P

the survey says....
hey guys! *nervous wave*
yeah...sorry about the whole "not posting" thing. but in my defense, I have been busy...with...you know...stuff.
okay, so I haven't been that busy. but I have been working on some blog ideas while I've been away, which is a step in the right direction, I guess.
anyway, today I've decided to post this really random survey that I'm not going to take very seriously...so it should be entertaining. at least to me.
plus you can think of it as an extended "about me" post. or something. enjoy.
1) This is seriously going to get personal, you ready? oh you know it.
2) If you were caught cheating, would you fess up? if I were going to do something as stupid as cheating, I would probably be so dumb that (even caught red handed) I would stubbornly refuse fault, shove the dude out a window and scream "PICS OR IT DIDN'T HAPPEN!"
3) The last time you felt honestly broken? I've never had any broken bones...?
4) Are you craving something? chocolate chip cookies, and I don't even like those that much :P
5) If you could have one thing right now what would it be? SLEEP! yay for being lazy! *high fives random hobo*
6) Would you rather have ten kids, or none? right now, or five years from now? either way, I think I'd rather have cats.
7) What do you hear right now? the wondrous sound of typing. and kathy's high heels walking down the hall....
8) Is your bed against more than one of your walls? none, it hovers in the middle of the room.
10) Are you there for your friends? heck yes. because my friends are the bomb.com (I know how hideously out of date that saying is, but it's true)
11) Last person to see you cry? I'm guessing myself. I honestly have no clue when the last time I cried was, so...
12) What do you do when you get nervous? my stupid retarded face gets bright red -.-
13) Be honest, do you like people in general? not really, but that's not to say I hate everyone, just a lot of people.
14) How old do you think you will be when you finally have kids? 28.
15) Does anyone completely understand you? there are a few people
16) Do you have a reason to smile right now? yes, because it's FRIDAY! woot!
17) Has anyone told you they don’t ever wanna lose you? um...maybe. I'm not good at remembering things and I tend to block out stuff when things get mushy.
18) Would you be happier if life had a rewind button? I think it would cause more problems than it would solve...but I wouldn't mind trying it out once :)
19) Do you tell your mum or dad everything? *snickers* you said "mum". but no. absolutely not. they are not really fun people.
20) Does it matter to you if your boyfriend or girlfriend smokes? yeah, kinda. cause they stink. a lot. and they kill you. (not really an upside, is there?)
21) Are you going to get hurt anytime soon by someone? well, I certainly hope not.
22) This time last year, can you remember who you liked? yep. same person as now. hooray for lost causes!
23) Do you think more about the past, present, or future? present. can't change the past, and the future is too far away to worry about :)
24) How many hours of sleep do you get a night? somewhere between 4-7 hours...
25) Are you easy to get along with? yeah. unless you are one of those "preppy" people. ew.
26) Do you hate the last girl you had a conversation with? hmmm....that would be rachel. no, I don't hate her. she is AWESOME.
27) What was the last drink that you put in your mouth? is there somewhere else I'm supposed to put drink? anyway.....it was water. I'm certainly getting crazy with my drink choices here
28) What size bed do you have? frickin' twin. AND it's a bunk bed. munchkin sleeps above me...
29) Do you start the water before you get in the shower or when you get in? creeper.
before.
30) Do you like the rain? it is pretty fun to run around in. until it starts pouring.
31) Do you think someone is thinking about you right now? there's a possibility.
32) Have you ever done something you told yourself you wouldn’t do? um...maybe
33) Would people refer to you as a goodie goodie, bad news, or neither? If they didn’t really know me: goodie goodie. If they do: then there is a good possibility of them being slightly afraid of me...
34) Who were you last in the car with, besides family? beverly? she's got a nice car...
35) What’s the last movie you saw in theaters and with who? megamind. with my family. (yeah, I have no life. wanna say something about it?)
36) Have you ever kissed someone who had a boyfriend/ girlfriend? no. of course I've never kissed anyone who didn't have a boyfriend/girlfriend either....but that's beside the point.
37) Have you ever been hurt by someone you never thought would hurt you? yep
38) Your parents are out of town. Would you throw a massive party? haha, no. they would somehow find out.... but I would definitely sneak out and go to a party my parents didn't know about.
39) Do you regret a past relationship? eh...not really.
40) Would you rather spend a Friday night at a concert or a crazy party? concert, because music = life
41) Do you tend to fall for the same type of person over and over? I don't really "fall" for people...
42) Have you made a joke about somebody that made them cry? maybe. but if I did it was unintentional...
43) Do you care too much about your appearance? I really don't give a crap. why do you think I look the way I do? :P
44) Are you a jealous person? not really...
45) Have you bought any clothing items in the last week? shopping is for people who care about clothes/ have an unlimited bank account. I fall into neither of those categories.
46) Do you miss anyone? sure. but I try not to.
47) Last person who made you cry? idk. why are these questions so depressing? can we bring out the rainbow unicorn questions now?
48) Does your ex piss you off? only when he gets that smug look on his face that says "I have a girlfriend now, but you're still single. hahahahahahaha."
49) What are you doing tomorrow? getting up really early. and going to bed really late. yay!
50) Are you the type of person who has a new boyfriend/ girlfriend every week? hellz to the no. that is awful.
51) Is there anyone you want to come see you? not right now, I'm at school! granted, I'm cutting class...but they would probably be bored sitting in a computer lab with me...typing a stupid answer on a stupid survey....
52) Have you ever been cheated on? nope
53) Ever given your all to someone who walked away? nope #WINNING
54) Do you like cotton candy? ewww why would I want to eat colored nastiness?
55) Who was the last person you had a serious conversation with? one of my bestest friends. oh, and I usually have a serious conversation with myself about once a week. the outcome gets posted on that other blog I told you about.
56) Are you planning to get knocked up or knock someone up by age 17? I'm 17 right now, but I'm definitely not going to get knocked up. it just sounds awful. " hey guys, some random dude I met at a party knocked me up and now I'm gonna be spending my college fund raising a kid who won't ever know his father! go me!"
57) Do you have siblings? yeah...a lot of them. but if someone asks, I'll deny any relation
58) Have you ever fallen asleep on someone? yeah, but the jerks usually push me off their shoulder and I wake up with my head in the couch cushions -.-
59) How has the past week been for you? pretty average.
60) Do you have a friend of the opposite sex you can talk to? I feel like I've answered this question twice already...
61) What’s on your mind right now? chocolate chip cookies, right out of the oven. they won't get out of my head!
62) aw...poor mister 62. he got lost on the way here...
63) What were you doing at midnight last night? sleeping in a chair in my living room
64) What is your current mood? same as it is every day, pinky. TRY TO TAKE OVER THE WORLD! wait, what was the question?
65) Who was the first person you talked to today? my brother. because the bus was coming in 5 minutes and I was still sleeping...so he tried to wake me up. I told him to shut up and make me some breakfast. how nice of me :)
66) Will this week be a good one? well, it's almost over now...but it's been okay I guess
67) Anything happen to you within the past month that made you really happy? I finally got my car! I still can't drive it....but I'm taking behind the wheel next month, so I'll get my license eventually
68) Who were you with last night? what are you trying to say?
69) Did you talk to someone until you fell asleep last night? no. talking to people is too mainstream, I talk to the voices in my head. and sometimes the wall.
70) Next time you will kiss someone? HAHAHAHAHAHA
71) Who should start the kiss, the girl or the boy? idk and idc
72) Do you have any plans for the weekend? drumline competition! which is one of the things I'm planning on posting about. I'll be sure to post the video here once its on youtube.
alrighty.
If you were bored enough to read all of that, you get a virtual gold star! congratulations on having no life! woohoo!
anyways....ireland out.

introductions are in order
For some a reason a bunch of my friends decided to start blogs recently.
I feel it is my duty to put links to their blogs on here, because they are pretty spectacular people.
Keenan: The Angel's Trance -this blog is his ramblings about life. and sometimes the weird dreams that he has.
Alesia: Thoughts, Concerns, and Dreams -confessions of a high school senior.
Maran: Letters of a Lesbian Life -this one should be obvious...lol
and Rachel: Je Crois -for those of you that don't speak french (like me, because french is gross) that means "I believe". Next time you'll have to google translate it for yourselves, slackers :P
There you go. Enjoy.
